Dealer Comments
Badlands is where the Bronco Sport stops being just a compact SUV with adventurous styling. This 2026 Bronco Sport Badlands 4x4 brings a twin-clutch rear drive unit, seven-mode Terrain Management System, Trail Control with 1-Pedal Drive, front recovery hooks, a bash plate and a steel-plated front bumper. Around Wesley Chapel it is still easy to park and easy to commute in. Point it toward a sandy trail, wet field or rough property road around Zephyrhills, Dade City or Brooksville and the hardware underneath finally gets to do what it was built for.
The 2.0L EcoBoost engine and 8-speed automatic are a big part of that personality. Paddle shifters give the driver more control when wanted, while the twin-clutch rear drive unit can help manage power across the rear axle when traction gets uneven. This is not a Bronco Sport trying to look tougher with wheels and graphics alone. Ford gave the Badlands real mechanical differences for the days when pavement is no longer the whole route.
It also happens to be remarkably easy to live with Monday through Friday. Heated front seats, a premium-wrapped steering wheel, Intelligent Access with push-button start and a 13.2-inch SYNC 4 display make the New Tampa commute feel far removed from trail duty. Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 adds driver-assistance support, while the rear-view camera and remote keyless entry help with the everyday stops between Land O Lakes, Wesley Chapel and Tampa. The Connectivity Package includes one year with the Ford app, and SiriusXM with 360L includes a three-month trial.
This new Bronco Sport includes the Parks Ford Lifetime Powertrain Warranty from Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel.
Now open the liftgate. The cargo area is where the Badlands starts making sense for people who actually bring gear with them. Rubberized flooring, rubberized rear seat backs and under-seat storage make muddy shoes, beach gear, tools or wet equipment easier to deal with. The 60/40 rear seat folds when the load gets bigger, and the liftgate includes separate liftglass plus adjustable flood lighting for unloading after dark. Pro Power Onboard with 400 watts gives you another way to run or charge smaller equipment when there is no outlet nearby.
Carbonized Gray Metallic with a black-painted roof and 17-inch matte black-painted aluminum wheels keeps the look purposeful without needing a loud appearance package. LED fog lamps, signature LED lighting and heated power mirrors fit the everyday side, while Parks Plus paint protection, rain-repellent treatment and headlight protection help with Florida sun, storms and road exposure.
EPA estimates are 21 MPG city, 27 MPG highway and 23 MPG combined, useful numbers for a 4x4 carrying this much capability. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS handle stopping duties, and the Bronco Sport's compact footprint remains a real advantage when the trail ends and you are back navigating a busy New Tampa shopping center or a tight Land O Lakes driveway.
That balance is what makes the Badlands interesting. It can spend the morning in Tampa Bay traffic, the afternoon hauling gear around Wesley Chapel and the weekend somewhere north of Dade City where the road gets worse on purpose.
The Bronco Sport name may say compact SUV. The Badlands hardware says keep going. Not all customers may qualify for all rebates. Price includes: $2250 - Retail Customer Cash. Exp. 09/30/2026 Price includes $1,395 dealer added accessories.
