Dealer Comments
2026 Ford Explorer Active RWD Vapor Blue 2.3L EcoBoost
Monday morning.
Kids, bags, coffee, phones that somehow were not charged overnight, and Tampa Bay traffic waiting outside. This 2026 Ford Explorer Active is built for exactly that kind of normal life. Get in with Intelligent Access, hit the push-button start, settle into the power drivers seat, set the tri-zone climate control, and let everybody plug into the USB-C ports available throughout the cabin.
The heated front seats are there for the handful of Florida mornings when we actually need them. The power liftgate gets used considerably more often.
By Tuesday afternoon, the third row may not even be carrying passengers anymore. Its 50/50 fold-flat design lets you turn that space over to groceries, sports equipment, boxes, luggage, or whatever else ended up on the schedule. That ability to move between passenger space and cargo space without owning an enormous SUV is a big part of why the Explorer works so well around Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, Lutz, Land O Lakes and Odessa.
Wednesday is probably when you start appreciating the screens.
The 13.2-inch touchscreen runs Ford Digital Experience with Google Maps and Google Play Store integration, and a separate 12.3-inch digital cluster keeps information in front of the driver. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto mean there is no cable ritual every time you get in. SiriusXM with 360L, a 5G modem, Wi-Fi hotspot capability and the included one-year Ford Connectivity trial round out a cabin that is genuinely connected without requiring you to learn an entirely new way to use a car.
By Friday, Vapor Blue has probably collected a little Florida pollen, but it still looks good.
It is a great color on the Explorer, especially with the 18-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels, black roof-rack side rails, rear privacy glass, body-color spoiler and LED lighting. There is nothing overdone about the exterior. It simply looks sharp parked at Wiregrass, running through Seven Oaks, or headed south toward Tampa for dinner.
Saturday is where this particular Explorer has another trick.
A Class III Trailer Tow Package and Trailer Sway Control are already part of the vehicle. So when the week changes from commuting to pulling recreational equipment, a utility trailer, or a small boat, the capability is already built in. Fords 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 and 10-speed automatic handle the work, while rear-wheel drive and selectable drive modes give the Explorer a straightforward, confident driving character.
And all week long, Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is along for the ride. The Explorer also carries a rearview camera, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, tire-pressure monitoring, SOS Post-Crash Alert, perimeter alarm and Fords collection of airbag and child-safety systems. They are not the exciting parts of the vehicle, but they are exactly the kind of equipment you want working quietly in the background.
That brings us to Sundayand the reason this Explorer Active is such an easy configuration to understand.
There is no giant option package trying to turn it into something it is not. You get three-row flexibility, heated front seats, strong digital technology, towing equipment, a power liftgate, EcoBoost performance and an attractive Vapor Blue exterior in one clean package. It covers a lot of ground without feeling excessive.
Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel also includes our Lifetime Powertrain Warranty with every new vehicle, adding long-term ownership value after the original factory warranty period.
So whether the week takes you through Meadow Pointe and Epperson, across to Bexley or Starkey Ranch, into Brandon or Carrollwood, this Explorer is ready for the whole schedule. Not all customers may qualify for all rebates. Price includes: $1000 - SSE Down Payment Assistance. Exp. 08/31/2026 $3000 - Retail Customer Cash. Exp. 09/30/2026 $500 - Final Day
